A Letter from Homer Martin

Dear Hunter,

Night image of three whitetail deerWe thank you for your interest in the Homer Martin Ranch. We are very proud of our ranch and facilities. Our goals are to guarantee the hunter the opportunity to see a large quantity and variety of game, and to offer experienced hunters, as well as youth, an excellent opportunity to harvest game. With this in mind, we extend an invitation for you to hunt with us.

While you’re on the ranch our Ranch Manager, will be available to welcome you and show you the ropes. We remind you that our lodge and cabins are available for family reunions, youth groups, Christian retreats, business seminars, and weddings. Fishing in the river is excellent and Spring Turkey season should be the best in many years.

Please feel free to e-mail us if you should have any questions.

Thanks,

Homer Martin

Hunting Facilities

Night image of Guadalupe Turkeys at a feederYou will stay in one of nine fully heated and air-conditioned cabins in a central camp. A separate lodge is available for your use, which includes a fully equipped kitchen, dinning room, fireplace, and game room. Nearby are the fire ring, barbeque pit, screened processing area, commercial icemaker and walk in cooler. We provide all cooking and eating utensils, so all you need to do is bring the food! During deer season, when the ranch is busy, we do not provide linens and towels; however, during every other week of the year, we do. Turkey and hog hunters do not need to provide their own bedding.

Catering

For an additional cost, catering is available to interested parties. We recommend Sisters Catering, a local business that can cook one mean Deviled Southern Fried Chicken! Call ahead to make plans. Otherwise, just bring food. All cooking and eating utensils are provided.

Group Hunts

We continue to place our primary efforts towards weekend hunts with a limited number of weekday hunts available. We prefer to do large group hunts when possible, but ample dates are available for those who are unable to organize their own groups. Depending on the season and availability, we mix smaller groups. Some hunters have made close friendships by sharing the camp, and continue their friendships year after year.
